About James

I live in Yorkshire and have been married for 22 years and I have 2 children. In my  two decade with a FTSE 100 Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, I’ve managed a number of national accounts and sales teams – including in my last sales role our Northern sales division which comprised of 6 managers and 60+ sales staff.

In this results-based industry I have always been a very driven individual who has been successful at achieving my set goals whilst having a passion for helping others to be the best they can be.

Outside work I’ve always had a love of sport – both playing and watching – and also for being on the stage. I have always enjoyed taking on new challenges, including the one that kickstarted my coaching journey back in 2013 when I saw an advert for a sponsored cycle and – after 30 years without a bike! – I signed up to travel from London to Paris. It was 300 miles.

Here I learnt about setting a clear goal, having a plan to follow, overcoming my voice of doubt and achieving milestone results along the way. After 4 months of training I cycled into Paris on 17 August as part of a team that raised £30,000.

I latterly began to use what is now my “Create Your Tomorrow Today” blueprint when tackling a number of subsequent challenges, including further charity work, personal fitness, weight loss, career progression and personal development which includes gaining my ILM level 5 qualification in coaching and mentoring, NLP, Prince 2 Practitioner in Project Management and as a Mental Health First Aider.
